I'm using an Edelbrock Performer RPM with std. port EZ's and it fits under the flat hood with a 3" drop base air filter. I really like the std. exhaust port location so you can use off the shelf headers. I was very pleased with the way everything bolted on and my Isky rockers only needed some very minor trimming to get them centered over the valves. If you're using a modern style rocker they will probably line up just fine.
Make sure you get the valve job checked by a reliable cylinder head guy. Two of my guides were tight and a few of the seats needed to be touched up.
Sounds like it will be a real brawler devil Mine with a stick shift is a real handful when I'm deep into the throttle biggrin
