I did that with a router once, just put the pistons on rods in the block. I lost that carbide and have not been able to find another flat ended one aluminum cutting one like that. I tried it with a round ended one and it was NOT happy cutting that hypereutectic material that way.

I am not causing global warming, I am just trying to hold off a impending Ice Age!
