Yeah, I know that there is an official "Y" block made by Ford. However, more than one Mopar rag back in the 80's, as well as one of my old Mopar Engines books referred to them as Y block due to the wider spread of the V. That's pretty much how they look bare. Regardless, the fact remains that the block IS different, and NOT interchangeable or substitutable for an LA piece.
