Hopefully not I would eliminate all the other causes first and then look real hard at the top of the lobes for unusual wear patterns. I've have two different cams go flat in the same motor this summer, back 4 lobes on the first one and now 2 or 3 lobes on the front of the cam after less than 100 miles, both where broken in correclty with zinc additve and so on Changing brands on the third one this wekend
