Not the same at all.. that is for body work repairs..
You need some Auto Glass sealant..
The whole industry ( auto glass) has changed. But back in the day the butyl sealant we used for GASKET set windshields does not harden.. This allows it to move slightly as the car is driven, not breaking the seal...
