I just built a 400 stroked to 512. I had one of the good blocks 6/28/71 thick web but it was 30 already and done by a blind man with the shakes so I couldn't use it for my 035 over bore needed.
The shop got me a 74 cast block that sonic at a little over 200 on each hole. I think 219 or so. When they were all said and done with the final hone with plates it was still just over 200. Even the deck was close but not perfect to achieve 0 deck.
Don't have it fired yet but they were real happy with the #'s and consistency.
