Mike there is an actual sponsored event going on at the silverdome, starts about 4pm till about 9 or 10pm. The racing will be in the parking lot. We know about the street action later

The event, which will feature a drag strip, a band, food trucks and thrill rides in Dodge vehicles, is scheduled for 4 to 10 p.m. Aug. 12, the Wednesday prior to the Woodward Dream Cruise. The event will be televised, with Discovery and Motor Trend television shows Gas Monkey Garage and Roadkill taking part. Richard Rawlings of the show Fast and Loud will participate in drag strip events.
