Anyone have experience with them or opinions on them in a daily driven 318 compared to the stock 2 barrel setup in MPG or power? Any parts (kits floats choke pull offs elec choke conversion kits) Where? I went and looked thru a phone book sized Holley catalog at the parts store, that does not mention these carbs even in the "parts" section; also the only number I can find starts with an "L" yet all the Holley carb numbers in the book started with an "R" when I went to look for a rebuild kit.
I am considering using one in a Magnum head conversion on my 83 D 250.. Have 2 of these carbs, that need gone thru; Daily driven, heavy truck, not "used" as a truck ~85% of the time, looking for "just that little bit" more power while retaining the same or (hopefully) better fuel mileage. Dead stock, unrebuilt shortblock; though with the Magnum heads I will be using 1.6 Magnum valve gear. (will "wake up" that stock 318 2 barrel cam, even if just a little)
