When I was little my parents ordered a 70 roadrunner new. It was an L.A. built car. The hood pin clips were the ones that stand up like the ones I have seen on lift off hood cars, not the flat ones. I know because I thought they looked cool and I liked installing them when I was "helping" my dad. I am 90% certain of this, because when I got a little older I saw the flat pins on other cars and wondered why they didn't look the same. I was only 3 years old when the car was new, but for whatever reason, those clips made an impression on me. I doubt my dad would have changed them, but I can't be certain. Is it possible that the car had those clips from the factory? Was that style of clip supposed to be only available on lift off hoods? I know it is a minor detail, but the question has been in my head all of these years. Has anyone else had an original non lift off hood car that had that style of clip? I know where the car is, but the guy my dad sold it to punched the nose and replaced the airgrabber with a non hood pin airgrabber from a gtx, so the original stuff is long gone. Pics would be cool! Thanks moparts!
