Like dizuster said, a 9-10sec car will want different than an 11-12sec car. But the better shocks will work on both. It's always easy to spend someone else's money. But:

4 CE shocks at $53ea - $212
4 QA-1's single adj at $165ea - $660
4 QA-1 or strange double adj at $250ea - $1000
I think afco runs pretty close to strange etc. but you get the idea.

I had strange and was happy on my drag only car, and have recently switched to penske. Only on way to learn.

Thankfully shocks can be one of the last things you buy. It just sucks when you buy say CE now, then go beyond their limits and keep going up the pyramid. It gets expensive and frustrating. Good luck, beautiful car.
