That 383 Eagle rod won't fit into the KB piston unless you either narrow the small end of the rod or make room in the piston. Too wide for the piston pin bosses.

The Eagle rod is a bit heavy at over 840 grams...fine for street and most race applications. Heavier than the stock rod.

440 source no longer offers the 383 rod although someone might have a set on the shelf.

I have looked and called..and have found no one, other than Eagle, offering aftermarket 383 rods (off the shelf).

Manley, Lunati, and a few others will make a custom set for about $1500. Cunningham rods cost a little more.

I have a new set of Eagle rods that have been narrowed enough to fit in the kb 383 pistons. I also have a new set of KB 383-30 flat top pistons. Both are priced to sell.

Rods will need a little bit of finish work to bring them all into balance. email if interested.
