There's not enough clearance to get in there with the plier type tools for most DIYs. As a DIY, I use either a Lisle jaw type with the springs so it stays in place and a universal and extensions or what I would really like to find is a cup tool that really fits. I would look at the Lisle catalog... The claw twist type clamp works ok too. I think Lisle also makes a band type tool that you use with a ratchet.
Everyone has there own preference.
