I'm a class that is losing racers because of costs involved NHRA comes out with a brand new mandated slick that they have to use. In a piss poor effort to reduce the passes needed to break-in slicks for race day they issues a new SOFTER slick. Problem is the new slick is now chunking like top fuel tires during a pass. Teams have already sold off old stock and the part number has been discontinued. Here we go again.

This has been going on forever, thank goodness goodyear is testing tires. They have been doing it a long time and have replaced many tire numbers over the years each time they make a change to a design. Maybe it's late this year and some teams may have to switch tires? I know know other than goodyear has been down this road with pro stock before, business as usual I think?
