I understand them to be the same as well. I can tell you from personal experience that a 66 Charger console needs an extra two inches of clearance notch at the rear of rear floorpans where they transition to the underseat pan when installed in a 69 Charger. Either the 66 floor is longer or the 69 front console mounts are farther rearward.
