"This" is a confusing statement. The soft flexible sidewall of the slick is designed to absorb the hit at the starting line and prevent spin. Enlighten me......
I have not run tubes for decades, for reasons: 1. Expense (I'm cheap) 2. Increase weight 3. If you have a puncture at the track just plug the tubeless. If you have tubes you are likely headed home.
