As for the photos, I am having a difficult time telling the difference only seeing half of it. A simple measurement across the cover will tell the tale. Dana made some really odd axles, including a D60=2 for industrial use that was popping up on eBay a few years back with a centered diff and high 5 series gears. Guy had stacks of them, all brand new. A lot of Jeep guys bought them.

~EDIT~

Here is one of the eBay D60-2 housings.

RCC has quite a bit of chatter about "Fabled Mexican RC D60s, it appears. It it does exist, it would be a good match for my 2wd '88 RC...

And that is exactly why I built my Dana 60-2 for my '87 D100...my '86 2wd Ramcharger has a Dana 60 with the 3.125" axle tubes from a '74 D200 and all the other aftermarket stuff for drag racing. The Dana 60-2 came to me stock with 35 spline axles, PowerLock carrier, 4.10 gears, 12" drum brakes, Set 7 tapered wheel bearings (no PS adjuster) and a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern. All the bearings were new, the brakes were fresh and I gave $400.00 for it in 2010.

BTW all the 60s I have seen have the number 60 cast in the lower right web in the case next to the cover plate. No need to measure anything.
