A friend of mine has one on a 440 in his 58 Savoy "Christine " look a like car. Remove the external chrome cover and it runs forever. That piece covers up some electronics that are mounted to an aluminum heat sink plate. Keeping the cover on it make the electronics heat up to the point the motor craps out.
