If you are already set up for a wedge, take your money to one of the builders mentioned in these posts and you will have a sturdy wedge with a mega block that will outlive and outperform any hemi of similar size and configuration.
How do you figure? I good hemi builder can make at least if not more hp with a hemi than a wedge of the same cubic inch. They are just as reliable. I hemi is more expensive to build. The valve train is the reason.
You are not going to get a top of the line 572 hemi for $17,000.
