The trans experts can explain it better, but from what I've been told you don't get the higher fluid pressure with a forward pattern manual valve body.
You only get (higher pressure) that with a reverse pattern manual one.

If that's the case, what the point of installing a fwd pattern manual over one that simply has a good shift kit in it?
You can still manually control them.
