I didn't make the rules I just follow them. After 71 the Hemi is gone, and except for a few six packs that escaped, it's gone to. The 400 was a slug compared to a good 383. Insurance and gas prices,and emissions, just the way it was, even though I like a lot of the newer cars, especially the later Charger SEs.
The 1972 440 Charger and other B-bodies still had something going on. Change the heads and compression on the '72 340's and you're back to '70/'71 performance.
For the 1973-1974 models, I think Chrysler screwed itself with the "Big Bumper" cars...
