I have a Pertronix distributor on the 440 in my Coronet and it works great. I checked the advance curve and it was already set up for a 440 per Ebergs article in Mopar Action. You don't need the MSD with this dist, it has the proven Pertronix module in it. I also have the 60,000 volt Pertronix "Flame Thrower" coil. The engine starts quickly with the setup. It is a vacuum advance dist. My fuel economy went up dramatically after hooking up the vacuum canister. Highly recommended for a street motor imo...
