here is a list giving distributor slot lengths for different degrees of timing. i had to weld my slots up on my hemi with the race distributor as if i set the initial to where it would idle the total was 45ish and if i set total at 38 it would die at idle. welded them up and demeled and filed them to get 14 degrees initial and all was fine then.
