If you can afford a new 340 Resto block or an older X-block style race block, buy one!

I guess I neglected to say, I'm using my standard bore stock block (Late 1970 for the 1971 model year). Mostly cause that's what I have on hand (got to save where I can). It (of course) will not remain standard (3.040). I'm sure it will bore out to 30 over (3.070). So if I use the 4.00 crank, it will be a 416. The 4.25 crank makes it a 426 (I think). Haven't decided one way or the other yet (cost, I guess will determine).
OH! Also, it seems I'll have a stock 340 rotating assembly for sale.
How much, Hummmmmmmmmmmm.
