Came from the factory with 6 stamped sheet metal nuts on one side and 8 Huglok nuts with an internal nylon ring on the other side.

The holes in the trunk are notorious for water entry and trunk lid rusting. A formed donut of rope caulk in the depression of the sheet metal nuts will help make a seal.
Dart used 10 stamped steel nuts and 4 Huglok nuts for the ends. 
The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.
