My '69 road runner has a '71 440 engine that I am in the process of rebuilding. The engine currently has a 187 oil pan that I am switching out to the correct 402 pan. The current pickup tube will no longer work with the 402 pan so I am searching for the correct one. I found a NOS pickup online, but they show that the same pickup works for 383's and 440's with the 402 pan. Summit and Year One both show two distinctly different pickup tubes for each. Anyone know what's right?? I've included a photo of each pickup in question. The one with the curved section is supposed to be for 383's while the straight one is supposed to be for 440's, however, the NOS pickup that I found has the curve and says it fits both. HELP!
