Use masking tape and masking paper to keep the buffing compound from making a mess of everything. Try Wenol or Semichrome first to see what results you get from it. I've been plesently surprised. Most window trim comes off pretty easy. Drip rail, vent window, top of door, vinyl top, and side window rear stainless are the peices I did once on one car. It will not come out as good as being off the car and using a higher powered buffer.
