I'm building one myself, albeit quite different with a more performance-minded combination, nonetheless important areas to carefully consider are the oil system (1/2" npt internal pick-up, higher capacity oil pan w/tray and the std volume pump will do fine, as-long-as the flow isn't hindered), an adequate exhaust and fuel system. As for cam choice, the 284x.528" MP stick is a decent choice, however...if you're looking for something more in line with your engine combination and a hyd grind, call Kirk (or one of the other guys) at Bullet cams and discuss it with them. One thing for certain, the quality of the machine work is critical in the performance and longevity so don't scrimp. Don't get excess on sizing or choke it down and that engine should perform quite well.
