My personal experience is the fuel plate is the best spot especially if you are pushrod oiling.



The pan has a Kick out, a screen style scraper, and it is oiled thru the push rods. On initial fire up it filled the reservoir for the vacuum pump in about 10 minutes of running and puked it out the top. Thought it would be great location. The cam and crank (even though they are perfectly round in this area) must grab more oil than I would have thought.
