Not with a triangulated 4-link. That's why it is 'triangulated'. That way it's 'positioned' side to side.

A straight 4-link, yes. If it has rear steer it wouldn't hurt to try a watts or 4-link to see what happens. Just don't mount the panhard perminitly, and run the suspension up and down with no weight on it to be sure nothing is binding. Then weld it and try it.
