Go to a swap meet in your area...find the oldest one you can find...with the spring holder..highest watt possible...and buy it...I have three wellers...one is a gun which is a PITA but it works for heavy gauge wires....I mainly do low voltage, LED, Alarm...so I have a dual Weller on one base...fat head and narrow head....I even bought a Coleman Cold Solder gun that works with batteries and keep it in the car in case I have to do something on the fly. Works well with 18ga and smaller wire
