Edit: I should mention that I did run a nice fat dedicated ground wire from the frame to the sending unit at the suggestion of some here, it's a much more solid ground than the factory one. And I also pulled the connector apart that's behind the driverside kickpanel. The one that connects your sending unit to your gauge. I cleaned it of rust/corrosion, put dielectric grease and closeout back up.



Sorry to hijack the thread, but can you explain more about the connector behind the driver kickpanel? My gauge does not work and I thought I had eliminated all possibilities except a bad circuit board. But I did not do anything behind the kickpanel. What does the wiring look like behind the kickpanel?
