the mopar greens with the crimped on retainer are not the better ones.IIRC

the M-400 is the better bearing IIRC

check "DoctorDiff" here on mopars, he has the best deals on the right bearings at 65$ a set.

and he can fix you up with all of the 8 3/4 needs you may have.

great member to deal with.

IMHO,the mopar bearing is not the ones to use.

I am on my 2nd set of greens, been running them since 00' and replaced them again in 08'

daily driver with lots of street duty

FYI... you can run them with or with out the inner axle seals,i ran seals with the first set and no seals on 2nd set. no leaks so far.

also there is talk about the thrust block and no end play adjustments.

if you have a suregrip with the removable buttons.. remove them. if it has a floating thrust block open or suregrip it can stay.

I run a 742 open with no thrust block( I removed it) and run the 489 sg with the thrust block in place.

I have had no trouble with it either way so far.

endplay adjustment with stock bearings is not hard or time consuming but it is one less thing to do when swaping gears at the track. just bolt it together ond go.
