So is it even conceivable that since it was a way early car and that the pop up airgrabber was new that they drilled both holes. One for the manual by mistake and then one for the pop up in the correct spot?
Since in the pictures of the St Louis cars all have the hole not by the voltage regulator and the hole by the voltage reg was for the manual one?

I mean why would anyone drill another hole over by the voltage regulator with the correct one already there? The correct one was even drilled into the dimple creating the beveled edge.

One more question is the hole for the manual air grabber on the R/t in a dimple or just in the firewall?
