RapidRobert Circle Track R Joined: Nov 2003 Posts: 36,041 Lincoln Nebraska	Check the voltage coming out of the voltage limiter on the back of the dash & if is sending full 12V instead of the appropriate ~5 volts to the gas/temp gauge input terminals & if so replace it with an electronic version. The ammeter at full charge is a seperate full fielding issue. Check the voltage regulator ground & the VR itself may be bad. I'm assuming the batt ain't dead live every 24 hour block of time like it's your last day on earth
