The torque values are for the studs or bolts you are using. Thats what you need to go by. If your to tight Fully torqed to specs then you will need a line hone with said caps installed to the proper fasteners torque values. You dont back off torque to get more clearence.


So true.............a buddy of mine was assemblng a 350 chevy(poor soul )and the crank wouldn`t turn torqued to spec so he loosened the mains till it did then drove it and needless to say, it grenaded..........line hone is your friend here.
