What was the production run (start month - end month) for the 1968 Coronet (St. Louis plant)?

Looking at a '68 Coronet R/T with a build date of 701 on the fender tag. I assume this is July 01, 1968 or would it be 1967??

What should the CASTING date on the block be? I've heard 90 days prior to the build date. Is that true?? Want to know what else to look for other than the numbers matching. Too many scams and restampings going on

Also, should the VIN stamping be on the back of the block by the oil sending unit or on the pad by the oil pan? Again, my research is telling me either or pending on when the car was built.
