340SHORTY Truck Nut Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 12,291 Kent, Wa	Ok. Do what I did in my 88 shorty. Slide the seat all the way forward then located the shifter. If your short armes get a mega shifter thats offered for pickups. It has a handle thats a bit taller. The mega shifter is a ratchet shifter that can be used in a forward or reverse pattern trans.. I am truckless..
