I am just building a grenade by leaving the stock pistons and bottom end in it? The car already has a decent CD ignition system and headers/exhaust.

Thoughts?

Local guy has a T-bucket with a 460 Ford, 8-71 and dual four barrels.

The first time I seen it run, this angry sounding thing with sidepipes is sitting there idling and it's drawing some attention. I asked what was done to it:

His answer: dead-stock 460 out of a 79 3/4 ton. The only change he made was to jet up 30% for the blower. That's it. No wild cam, no porting, stock pistons.

He has the biggest Mickey Thompsons you can get on the back of it and it lights 'em up in direct-drive at 50 mph no problem. That rod has a ton of miles on it and to my knowledge he's had no issues.

Grab that motorhome engine, slap the blower on, paint it up, and pound the crap out it.
