i phased my distributor by removing the indexing roll pin completely, then drilling & tapping a 10-32 hole between two "teeth" on the reluctor, then used a 1/8" long set screw(w/ loctite!) to lock the reluctor on the shaft. it took a few tweaks, but i managed to get it spot on by using an old cap with a hole drilled on top at the #1 tower to aim the timing light through.(use whiteout, or a white paint pen to draw a line down the centerline of the rotor so it shows up good with the timing light)
