I have a 1975 440 block I am building a 493". This block has the larger thrust diameter on the #3 saddle. I was going to use some FM 119M bearings I have with the smaller thrust diameter. My question Is this a problem or common practice? I have also drilled the #2,3,4,5 mains to 9/32" diameter for oiling and I noticed the bearing oil holes are only .250". Do you guys drill out the main bearings to match the enlarged holes in the block?
Thanks you for any help you can give me.
