Picked up this bump steer gauge at the swap meet this morning for $25. Retails for like $214. It had a dead battery in the drop gauge and the screen was cracked...Put in a battery and all is good. Was also missing a knob set screw. Have a bolt in there for now.

The plate is 5 on 5 with big lugs, but they are big enough that a 4 1/2 on 5 pattern will fit. I'll just run nuts and washers.

I haven't bump steered a car in a while. But not real brain surgery to measure: Bump Steer Instructions The tricky part is making the adjustments by spacing the tie rods ends up or down if you can or finding other places to adjust.

A lot of people throw around the term "Bump Steer" and it is not the issue they are feeling in the car. No production vehicle will be perfect. Not even close. And people over react to the bump being off.

And even most all race cars are only really good through a limited range of bump and jounce.

My new $25 toy...
