drove my junkbox to the top of Pikes Peak here lately, twice!
It kind of sucks because it is now all paved and your'e following a bunch of grandmas to the top. Your car better be tuned to make it to the top, because I didn't haven't enough power to spin the tires in the gravel at the top even though I was super lean with plenty of timing.

Lot's of turns on the way up.

When I went to start the car at 14100+ feet, it sounded like someone stole my spark plugs it spun so fast because there is no air up there.

Top of Pikes Peak again, 2 years earlier. 32 degrees this day and a lot more gravel road to drive on. With it being wet, icey and gravel I don't think my car would have made it without a suregrip rearend. It was slipping and sliding around those gravel turns, it was intense in the thick cloud cover.
Fired up my windshield wipers, first time in 25 years that day. Defrosters were mandatory also so you could see. Coming down the mountain....

Fun to watch the alitimeter go up and down.
