Myself I dont think it's a big deal for 2 reasons (1) you're not going to need max coil power (such as WOT) while the choke is on and (2) if your voltage drops are minimal it has to come from some switched 12V source so the coil would not be dragged down if the choke is powered from the coil/alt blue wire or from some other point. I agree w prior info that it needs to be shut off once it's open, I'm adding the white bakelite piece
