Thanks for the clarity, Iceman, I came to this forum back in 98. I have not participated much over the last few years for precisely this reason. No real facts offered, fiberglass vs. the alternative(cannot remember the acronym) ? What are brands or vendors to avoid? What alternatives can provide acceptable results with a bit of work?
All fiberglass requires some work.
Not everyone wants perfect repros at a high price for a driver quality car.
I can appreciate that Mr. Harms, as a restoration specialist, would not find it acceptable, or economically feasible to waste time on a less than top quality part. But when someone is looking for a less expensive alternative and states it up front, saying "You get what you pay for" as the only advice is less than helpfull.
