Keep in mind that a rear tire wants to act like a basketball when its smacked into the pavement. The harder you throw it at the pavement the more force it exerts when it tries to come back to its original form. This is where the real advantages of a double adjustable come into play. The compression setting on the shock counteracts the tire wanting to bounce back at the car.
