probally a servo or the valvebody most shops dont replace or check the electronics during a rebuild and the valve body if the trans has overheated for one the cylender for the shift piston is cast way to thin and warps easly if it has a hard shift eratic shift revs high and takes a few seconds to shift id say valve body my 95 i just sold you could take off fine stop then would have hell takin off again ended up being the valvebody
