I took my car to Woodburn today to see whar it would run in cool weather, it got up to 63.5 F with 61.3 % humidity, 29.99 B.P. on my last run at 3.11 PM, D.A. was 757 and my aircraft altimeter, set at 29.92, read -160, the car ran 9.993 ET at 133.42 MPH Earleir in the day it was 57.7 F with 67.6 % humidity with 29.95 BP the car ran 10.010 at 133.51 that was the first run at 10:40 AM. The next run it ran 10.001 at 133.68 MPH I ended up breaking out on the first round, the car had ran 10.040 at 133.43 MPH the run before the noon break and my Performaire said the car should run 10.04 I dialed 10.04 and cut a better light than my opponent and caught him between the 100 ft clocks and th first MPH light, I laid on the brakes and ran 10.001 at 127.42 Oh well thats bracket racing So I decided to see what the car would run all out, and of course I decided to change the carb. before making the last run of the day It had isssues, leaky front needle gasket, front float to high and so on, it ran great this summer on my car just the way it was Finally got it straighten around and made the pass, one of the tech guys met me at the ticket booth and siad thats it, your done, goodbye, see you next spring when the car is legal for the nines I told him I thought the car would run a 9.95, not a 9.993 I should have left the other carb on it, stupid me Anyone able to take the incrementals and translate the breakout run to what it would have ran all out? I hope so, what numbers do you need to do that
