Thanks for the previous posts. The harness from the reverse light switch appears to be short as it will mount on the drivers side top bellhousing bolt, not the passenger side top bellhousing bolt, and directly runs to the fuse box. It will not reach the engine compartment harness plastic loops. The harness on the reverse light is just hanging there, and I'm not sure where it connects to. Does it go to the fuse block in the interior side, or does it connect to the main dash harness, or go through the firewall to connect to the engine harness? Any help is appreciated. Since your car is a 73 I can't say what was done then , I can only comment on 1969-70 A/B body which went to the bulkhead directly and the reverse light harness was held to the firewall by the rubber tipped metal clips welded to the firewall not the plastic loop clips on the inner fender panels.

Do you have the service manual for your car ? there is a wealth of information in it , like wiring diagrams ...
