Hi

My slap stik won't rachet with the repop T Handle I have.

It doesn't let the mechanism return up to the notches.

The shifter works fine without the handle installed.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Any solution would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

It's where the set screw pulls the T to shifter handle to. As I recall it pulls it down to far on the handle Put the tee on but leave it up a little bit and I bet It works. Then devise the best way to re pin, I want to say I cheated the set screw position up by retapping to #10 and got a new set screw. Been a while, but know exactly what you mean.

Hi

I tried raising the handle on the mount a bit (as much as an entire screw hole diameter).

Still not releasing

Thanks anyway

On my original one the screw was just slightly too long and would drag on the shaft inside.

Does it work if you loosen the screw?

If it works either grind down the screw tip or glue a small spacer inside the shifter under the screw hole.

Hope it helps.

I haven't installed the screw yet.
The shifter actuates fine without the handle, everything goes bad after the handle gets installed.
It seems like the T handle button is dragging sightly the housing.
Being a cheap b*stard, I don't want to risk $50 on another repop.

Update!
I installed a friends borrowed T handle and now the shifter rachets properly.
If you hold his handle and shake it, the chrome button moves in and out pretty freely. boogie
Mine stays retracted no matter how hard you shake. It looks like that's what causing the failure. mad

Have you tried freeing up the button? Some times a little work can make things work.

You can pry the chrome bezel off the handle using a putty knife.
I ended up sanding/filing the plug, the cavity in the handle, and the bezel.
Everything almost had enough clearance
It works like a charm now.
All it took was a couple of hours of work...
