Hey pittsburghracer, that's Keystone Raceway in the background isn't it? I raced my '69 RR there many times in I think it opened in '70 (?) because I remember for sure I raced my RR and motorcycles at PID in '69. Have to check when Keystone opened? Anyway, a little over ten years later I sold my '69 RR to a bodyman and friend working at a friend's body shop (Jack) Toole Auto Body off of Sawmill Run on Mcneilly Rd. I'm wondering if you might have ever seen or run across the 'RR as I had talked to my friend a long while back and he raced it (mostly street raced and some track time)? Just taking a chance that you or someone may have known or seen my first car? F5 green with gold mist highlights on the body.

Pretty sure keystone opened in the 1960’s but yes that one was from keystone. The other track picture was from Nu-Be drag strip in New Bethlehem Pa.

1963 Plymouth Sport Fury convertible, 413 with a holley 3 barrel, vitar torqueflite and 4.56 gears. I actually traded a guy outright., my car for his. His wife was pregnant and she couldn't take the harsh ride, so he asked if I would trade my '62 olds starfire, a beautiful candy wine red. We agreed, and he gave me everything that went with the car. I eventually had the motor bored out to 426 cubes. I don't remember what the color was called but it was somewhat of an electric blue, white convertible top. Many fond memories with that car. My first mopar was a green on green 1969 Coronet 500. I paid $1200 and it needed brakes. The previous owner had painted it (poorly) and swapped a 440 for the original 318. She had a few dents and dings and bent bumpers. It had a thrashed interior and the front and rear window trim was missing. She was fast, loud, and fun! I had the front end rebuilt, brakes repaired, and did a few other improvements.

Eventually, I sold it to a guy and his son who were going to restore it…I wonder where it is now?
